Telekom Austria Group wins "connect" network test 2013

Today the Telekom Austria Group (VSE: TKA, OTC US: TKAGY) announces that its Austrian subsidiary A1 Telekom Austria is the overall winner of the “connect” network test 2013 for the German-speaking area.

The “connect” test is known as the largest and most significant test for mobile networks in the German-speaking area. Countless parameters relating to sound quality, the reliability of data transfers and network coverage are measured and evaluated. A1 was successful in all of these categories and came in ahead of the number two – a German network operator – as well as the two Austrian competitors. The test emphasised the highest reliability, the short time it takes to establish a call and the excellent sound quality. In particular the fast and reliable data quality as well as the highest measured data speed of 96 Mbit/s were highlighted in the test.
