Telekom Austria Group appoints Siegfried Mayrhofer as new CFO

The Telekom Austria Group (VSE: TKA, OTC US: TKAGY) announces, that at today's Supervisory Board's meeting Siegfried Mayrhofer was appointed new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Telekom Austria Group as of 1 June 2014 for a one-year term. Siegfried Mayrhofer will succeed Hans Tschuden whose contract expires on 31 May 2014.

Siegfried Mayrhofer has served as CFO of A1 Telekom Austria AG since 1 July 2009 and, in addition to his new appointment, he will also maintain his position as CFO of the Austrian subsidiary. He started his career at Telekom Austria in March 2000 in the "International Business Development" unit. From 2004 onwards he held several management positions in Controlling and Accounting within the Telekom Austria Group.

Siegfried Mayrhofer is originally from Vöcklabruck in Upper Austria and studied mechanical and industrial engineering at the Graz University of Technology.

Siegfried Mayrhofer said about this new professional challenge: "I would like to thank the Supervisory Board for the trust they have placed in me and I'm thrilled about my new task. Over the next year, the CFO of the Telekom Austria Group will be faced with considerable challenges in setting the strategic course of the company, which promises to be a tough and compelling task."
