Hannes Ametsreiter and Hans Tschuden Win Thomson Reuters' "CEO Of The Year" and "CFO Of The Year" Awards

Vienna, June 19, 2013: The Telekom Austria Group scooped a double prize at this year’s “40th Extel Awards”, which are based on a survey conducted by the international news agency Thomson Reuters. Hannes Ametsreiter was named Austria’s “CEO Of The Year” and Hans Tschuden Austria’s “CFO Of The Year” for the second time in a row. Within the framework of the Extel survey a total of 15,000 capital market players across 75 different countries, including 2,500 analysts from 250 brokerage firms and over 2,200 analysts, were interviewed between the end of March and the beginning of May 2013.

The Extel Survey is regarded as the most comprehensive assessment of stock markets and a leading benchmark for excellence in investor relations on the international capital market.

Commenting on this recognition, Telekom Austria Group CEO Hannes Ametsreiter said: “Following the turbulent times over the past years, I’m all the more delighted to receive this award, which proves that we are on the right track in pursuing our corporate strategy and that our success is appreciated by the capital markets.“

Hannes Ametsreiter has served as CEO of the Telekom Austria Group since January 2009. Over the past years, he has also held numerous positions in both national and international organizations of the telecommunications industry. Hans Tschuden has served as CFO of the Telekom Austria Group since April 2007, while acting as Deputy Chairman of the Board since January 2009.
