EUR 250 Million of the Proceeds of the Austrian Spectrum Auctions to be Dedicated to Broadband Investments

Today the Telekom Austria Group (VSE: TKA, OTC US: TKAGY) announces that the Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology announced that EUR 250 million of the proceeds from the planned Austrian spectrum auctions will be dedicated to broadband investments and research and development grants.

Frequencies in the 800, 900 and 1800 MHz band will be sold in the spectrum auctions, which are expected to take place in September 2013. According to the conditions published by the Telekom-Control-Commission (TKK), the total reserve price amounts to EUR 526 million.
