Within the annual Cisco conference „Cisco Partner Summit 2016" which took place in San Diego last week, A1, the Austrian subsidiary of Telekom Austria Group, was awarded twice. The company received the awards "Solution Innovation Partner of the Year" of the EMEA region and the "Architectural Excellence Enterprise Networks Partner of the Year" for central Europe.
A top class audience with Telco and IT experts from Europe and the Middle East watched the award ceremony.
A1 received the awards thanks to its innovative solutions and expertise with the implementation of modern network infrastructure technologies. By means of Cisco Meraki technology, A1 offers its customers WiFi solutions, controlled and administrated in the cloud.
Martin Fluch, Director ICT Services at A1, was receiving the awards, representing the A1 team:
"Together with the A1 team, we are honored about these rewards. It is a clear confirmation that with focusing on ICT Services, we are on the right track".
A1 developed easy to use WiFi solution, based on Cisco Meraki, which completely changed the way networks of retail customers are sold and implemented. It includes built-in support for customized login portals, integrated security, and reliable coverage to support guests alongside POS and internal networks — without extra appliances or complex configurations.
End of 2014, A1 has started to push Meraki as Managed Service (WLAN) with an option to extend the solution with Managed LAN. Further, this solution will be extended to the rest of Telekom Austria Group.
Since January, A1 has been tying together all expertise within the new department which is being headed by Martin Fluch, Austrian IT Manager of 2015. As a growth area, ICT Services holds a significant position within the A1 Company. With tailor-made products and solutions, being planned and executed by A1 experts, the demands of existing and new customers should even be better met and coped with. Especially with topics such as IT, cloud services and security solutions, customer demands are subject of a permanent change.
