Alejandro Plater, CEO A1 Telekom Austria Group, commenting on the key financial and operating highlights 2017:
"We are looking back on a successful year 2017. Almost every KPI shows a positive development. The consistent execution of our growth strategy allowed the A1 Telekom Austria Group to improve its operational business substantially even in times of tough competition and difficult regulatory frameworks. As a result, despite negative roaming abolition effects, A1 Telekom Austria Group recorded a sound revenue growth of 4.1% and EBITDA growth of 3.2% in the year 2017. A solid balance sheet structure with an improved equity ratio and a clear increase of free cash flow underline these positive developments.
Reported net result of EUR 345.5 mn in 2017 compared to EUR 413.2 mn in 2016, is negatively impacted by non-cash-relevant brand value amortisation in the amount EUR 123.2 mn in 2017; excluding D&A from brand value amortisation reported net result grew by 13.4% in 2017."
