With “A1 Xplore TV”, A1 Group launches one content and streaming platform on multiple markets
“A1 Xplore TV” supports A1 Group's “One Company – One Brand” approach.
The service was already launched at A1 Bulgaria in November 2019, and has been launched at A1 Austria, as of beginning of this March.

Already back in 2017, the A1 Telekom Austria Group had announced its plans to gradually expand A1 brand and products to its entire operating business across all markets. We are proud to take the next step and roll out A1 Xplore TV in our markets covering IPTV and DVBC networks.”
A1 Xplore TV - rethinking television
With A1 Xplore TV, A1, the Austrian subsidiary of A1 Telekon Austria Group, is launching a new TV platform on the Austrian market and continues its single brand strategy. In Bulgaria, A1 Xplore TV started already in November 2019. A1 Xplore TV provides a fully integrated multiscreen approach. Starting in the customer’s living room with a high-end Linux based IPTV & DVB-C KAON 4K set up box and continuing to all major mobile device platforms (iOS & Android), as well as on the Web and via Google Chromecast.
In addition to that, A1 is introducing its powerful-AI driven recommendation engine based on Ncanto solution provided by XroadMedia. The recipients are in complete control to catch up TV or to consume content form the A1 Video on Demand (VoD) platform, according to their preferences, whenever they want. As add on, the universal channel feature, which provides every content automatically of best available quality, up to 4K/UHD, was also integrated.
Journey with award winning partners
The way in which motion pictures are consumed is rapidly changing. Therefore, A1 Xplore TV users will be able to find and enjoy outstanding content through Zappware’s award winning Nexx 4.0 platform. Together with Zappware, a longtime partner, A1 Group is constantly adopting, in an agile development set up, the user interface and customer experience of the whole platform on all devices according to the requirements of the local markets.
Furthermore, the Group will be opening its platform to 3rd parties and integrate those into the innovative user interface. Via the set up boxes, A1 Xplore TV customers have direct access to YouTube, YouTube Kids, Amazon Prime Video* and many more 3rd party applications.
