Telekom Austria Owners nominate management board members for TowerCo

América Móvil (AMX) and Österreichische Beteiligungs AG (ÖBAG), as representatives of the main shareholders of A1 Telekom Austria Group AG, have nominated two members for the management board for the newly set-up TowerCo as part of the recently extended syndication agreement. With Ivo Ivanovski as future CEO and Lars Mosdorf as future CFO two experienced managers and experts have been recruited to lead the future Towers Company, which is expected to be spun-off and listed at the Vienna Stock Exchange during the second half of the year. As managing directors of TowerHolding GmbH, they will immediately co-lead the necessary preparatory work to spin off the tower business into a separate company.

The nominations are subject to the approval of the future supervisory board of the Tower company.
The extraordinary shareholder meeting required for the spinoff will take place in the coming months. An exact date has not yet been set.

Ivo Ivanovski is currently Head of International Regulatory & European Affairs of the A1 Telekom Austria Group. Previously, he served in various positions at international institutions, including on the board of directors of UN-GAID (Global Alliance for Information and Communication Technologies and Development). From 2010 to 2015, he held the position of Commissioner of the Broadband Commission for Digital Development of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), a UN specialized agency, and served as Head of Governmental & Regulatory Affairs of América Móvil in Brussels. He was born in Macedonia where he served as Minister of Information Society and Administration in his home country from 2006 to 2015. Ivo holds a Master degree in Computer Science and is recipient of Honorary Doctorate Degree for Technology Leadership from Franklin University, USA.

Lars Mosdorf has spent his career in various management positions, with a focus on finance, digitization and commercial and general management. He has 16 years of infrastructure experience, thereof 10 years at C-level, leading organizations with up to 4,500 employees. In his last position, he was CFO, CHRO and Management Board member at Düsseldorf Airport, with a broad responsibility for all finance functions, IT, Procurement and HR. Prior to that, Mosdorf was CFO and Deputy General Director at Northern Capital LLC in St. Petersburg, and held various senior management positions spanning pricing, regulatory and finance at Fraport AG. Lars holds a Master in Public Policy and Management as well as an Executive MBA. Hestudied in Germany, China, France, India and the US.
