As for the first time in the previous year, the A1 Telekom Austria Group publishes its report for the business year 2018 in the form of a combined annual report and sustainability report. Sustainability aspects are incorporated directly into the individual chapters or topics instead of covering them separately. Thus, the report allows an integrated and yet compact view on economic, ecological and social aspects of sustainable management.
The title of the report emphasizes the active role the Group is taking on in the course of tapping the potential of "Digital Transformation".
Thomas Arnoldner, CEO A1 Telekom Austria Group underlines: "We are presenting ourselves as an ideal, trustworthy digitalization partner that assumes pronounced ecological and social responsibility. Digitalization is rapidly progressing in almost all areas of business and life and opens up vast opportunities for promising future concepts and increased efficiency, equal social opportunities and the preservation of resources. The systematic, target-oriented execution of our corporate strategy with a focus on our group-wide common purpose ‚Empowering digital life‘ was turned into convincing results in the reporting year. We will carry on harnessing the positive momentum of the digital transformation and are convinced that this will allow us to continue with our encouraging growth trends."
All reports, including the Group Management Report, the Consolidated Financial Statements, the Corporate Governance Report, the Report by the Supervisory Board, the Consolidated Non-Financial Report and the other sections with additional information about strategy, technology, employees etc. have been merged in one publication. The combined annual report is based on the GRI Standard (Global Reporting Initiative) and the requirements of the UN Global Compact for a Progress Report.
