Connect mobile network benchmark: A1 Group among the best providers in Europe

  • A1 Group takes third place among the major international players
  • A1 Austria in 5th place among 94 European mobile operators
  • Also A1 Northern Macedonia and A1 Croatia among the Top 20

The A1 Telekom Austria Group took third place among national mobile communications providers in the European mobile communications comparison conducted by the German trade journal connect, once again confirming its leading role as a provider in the CEE region.

In a comparison of the major players in Europe, which are represented in three or more countries, the networks of the A1 Group have achieved top ratings. In the benchmark test published this week, A1 Austria was able to clearly position itself in the top group of 94 European providers with 920 points and, after winning numerous Austrian network tests, also stood its ground in international comparison. A1 Northern Macedonia and A1 Croatia also confirm the top quality of A1's mobile networks by finishing 13th and 18th.

For the connect mobile network benchmark, the network test specialist umlaut evaluated crowdsourcing data from all over Europe, which were collected between October 2019 and March 29, 2020. With a total of 500 achievable points, mobile broadband coverage was a focal point of the analyses.
