Being part of the Energy Transition with Your Own Balcony Power Plant

In the past, you needed your own house and a budget of several thousand euros for your own solar power system. Today, a balcony power plant makes it easier to enter the world of solar power. The advantage of a mini solar power plant is that anyone can install it themselves - without an electrician, without their own house, and without even needing a balcony.

Here's how it works: A balcony power plant feeds in electricity via the domestic power socket, so that the self-generated energy is directly available for consumption. It usually consists of one or two solar modules with a so-called inverter. The inverter converts the direct current generated by the solar cells when the sun shines into alternating current. A connection cable connects the inverter to the power outlet. The green electricity produced from this is then fed into the house/apartment grid via any socket and can be consumed directly there. As a result, the electricity meter turns slower or even stops. At 840 euros, a maximum annual yield of up to 350kWh can be produced, and at 1,450 euros, a yield of up to 700kWh.

And now A1 Austria, the Austrian subsidiary of A1 Telekom Austria Group, comes into play: With PluginEnergy, A1 brings exclusively powerful and immediately available solar systems to Austria, which are child's play to install yourself thanks to their light weight and the mounting straps included in the set. The advantages of PluginEnergy at a glance:

  • 18 years performance guarantee and 6 years warranty
  • No need for approval from the electricity grid operator
  • No waiting time: the models are immediately available and ready for use
  • Easy to assemble: a little manual skill is enough to assemble the modules (approx. 3kg each)
  • Unused electricity is transferred to the public power grid
  • No storage: The electricity of the balcony power plant is immediately available for consumption and is not stored. Accordingly, it permanently covers the basic consumers, such as the refrigerator and the router.
  • Other devices also use the electricity, whether computer, washing machine or dishwasher

The PiE AIR SuperLIGHT 380+ COMBO and PiE AIR SuperLIGHT 760+ COMBO models, as well as the matching PiE SMART PLUG Outdoor energy meters (for real-time measurement of production), are available now in limited editions without waiting via www.A1click.at and in selected A1 stores in Austria.

In Austria, up to 800 watts of electricity may be fed directly into the grid without a permit (only notification is required), above this you need a permit from the energy operator.
