Established Austrian brand A1 becomes more international and strengthens its position on the European market

Until now the A1 Telekom Austria Group has been one of the few players operating on the European market with different brands. The one brand strategy will now show the Group’s true size. In 2017 the A1 Telekom Austria Group decided to gradually roll out the A1 brand across all its operating companies. 
 
Alejandro Plater, CEO and COO of the A1 Telekom Austria Group: “We will use our highly successful Austrian brand A1 across all the Group’s operating companies. This is a further important step toward sharpening our profile in the highly competitive European telecommunications market.  In the digital age, a high recognition factor and familiar brands are key competitive factors.” The one brand strategy should both strengthen the regional companies and enhance the Group’s efficiency in the development of products and services.
“Yesterday we reached another milestone on the road to a single brand identity when we rebranded our Bulgarian subsidiary as A1“, said Alejandro Plater. 

Fresh Accents in Austria 
“I am delighted that we will be using A1 as the Group brand. By using red, which is already established at other sister companies, we are creating a link within the Group thus visualising our one company strategy. In Austria our brand stands for quality and all convergent products and services  – mobile, fixed line, data & cloud solutions, content and OTT-Services”, said A1 Austria CEO and CTO Marcus Grausam explaining the innovations.
In Austria, the corporate identity will be refreshed and redesigned to integrate seamlessly with Telekom's new single brand image. 
A1 is the best-known provider of telecommunications solutions in Austria. The characteristic three dimensional “A” with a flexible brand identity has high recognition value and is unique in Europe. In agreement with the A1 Telekom Austria Group the previous accent colour green will be changed to red. The “1” will become three dimensional and adapts itself to the perspective of the “A”. The phased implementation in Austria will take 2-3 years.
