A1 Telekom Austria Group acquires 5G spectrum in Croatia     Vienna, August 12, 2021: Today, the A1 Telekom Austria Group (VSE: TKA, OTC US: TKAGY) informs that the spectrum auction in Croatia for the bands 700 MHz, 3.6 GHz and 26 GHz has been completed. A1 Hrvatska has acquired spectrum of: 2x10 MHz in the 700 MHz band, 1x100 MHz in the 3.6 GHz band and 1x200 MHz in the 26 GHz band with a validity of 15 years for a total of EUR 14.1 million. The auction was held in SMRA (Simultaneous Multi-Round Auction) format.   After the acquisition of the licences, the company activates its 5G network in the 700 MHz and 3.6 GHz frequency bands, thus enabling gigabit speed, low latency and further enhancing the customer experience. The company will cover 90% of Croatia’s population and 50% of its territory, including all main road and railway transport routes, with its 5G network by 2027 at the latest. A1 Hrvatska also committed to cover certain rural or remote locations lacking adequate internet access at present, contributing to economic development and digitalization.   The purchase price for the spectrum will be payable within the next few weeks.
